Here’s Shimla, which used to be the official summer of the British in India, and now is the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Shimla, located in the lap of the Himalayas, has an indo British architecture with cool and pleasant climate throughout most of the year.   The is surrounded by heavy forests of cedar, rhododendron, fir and oak trees, and vast expanses of emerald greens, pleasing snow stretching mountains and undulating valleys. What used to be known as the Mall Road, Ridge, and the Viceregal Lodge resonate with the city and it boasts of British styled architectural designs, giving it an old world feeling. The gardens are perfect for winter sports for the nearby Kufri and Narkanda and for the nature lovers there is the Jakhoo Temple trek and Mashobra woods. Sprawling with colonial structures, shops, and gorgeous trails, Shimla is one of India’s most popular hill stations that with its history, culture, and scenic liveliness attracts tourists to turn into fans.
